The Summer haze makes adventuring much more enjoyable. Everything feels heavy, still, and mysterious.
Having a Summer birthday isn’t too bad. It means I get extra hours of daylight to celebrate.
Fall
I’m not saying you can only eat grilled fish in Fall. Grilled fish is top-tier food that can be enjoyed any time of day, any time of year. But it’s so much better when the weather’s a bit frisky. Like in Fall.
Date 12 - 14 I’m looking forward to Betty’s mooncakes. It’s a shame she doesn’t make them more often.
Date 6 - 9 You can tell it’s Fall from all these chestnuts. They’re everywhere, like weeds!
Date 24 - 27 Feel that slight chill in the air? Winter's creeping closer, Player. Time to bundle up and brace ourselves for some chilly days ahead.
I feel closest to nature in Fall. The beautiful colors, piles of leaves on the ground… It’s something to be thankful for.
Winter
A client once wanted me to search for a chalice in the dead of Winter. I said no way, unless he was willing to pay me ten times my usual rate. He gladly waited until Spring.
It’s not just the cold that makes treasure hunting a pain in Winter. Soil is much harder to dig too… Pretty much concrete at this point. Better to just wait until the ice melts.
The boat isn’t really the best place to live in Winter. There’s a lot of wind, and it’s really hard to keep the heat going.
Have you ever fished near the mayor’s house in Winter? I heard from the young fisher you can catch silver arowana there. Long black hair? Yeah, that’s the one. Oh, the one with bright-red boots, not the one with glasses. She’s not a fisher, I don’t think. But I don’t really know… Never see her around much.
Some people escape to Winter houses in warmer climates when it gets too cold outside. I suppose I could move my boat somewhere warmer in Winter.
