Cocoa bean is a fruit plant that grows in Fall and Winter. Cocoa bean seedlings become available at Sam's General Store once the player reaches town rank C.

The plant requires 2x2 tiles of tilled ground before planting and watered daily to mature and regrow fruits. Cocoa bean matures after 10 days, then 4 days to produce subsequent harvests, with each harvest yielding two fruits.

Cocoa bean comes from a fruit plant but it's classified as a grain. This item will result in a failed dish for any recipe that calls for "Any fruit".
