He and the other merfolk have their own language called "Merakih" that will need to be deciphered in order for you to communicate and grow relationships with Agung and any of the other Merfolk, like Denali.
Agung is a gatekeeper in Merfolk Kingdom. Part of his job is to patrol the area outside of the Kingdom and make sure those who are close by are not a threat. He is too young to remember the Merfolk’s interactions with the giants, so all he knows are the stories the other Merfolk tell of humans who pollute their ocean.
