Mail

Mail is one of the ways the player communicates with characters both present and not present in the game. Most mail is sent to the player's mailbox in the morning (with the exception of cooking recipes that may arrive on the same day the player reaches the required friendship level with the character who sends the recipe). The mailbox is located outside the farmhouse on the right and can be interacted with.

Some letters contain attached items. These items can be accepted into the player's inventory after they read the letter.

Types of letters

Some letters are sent to the player randomly, others are received at fixed points in time or during main or secondary quests. Some letters inform the player of news regarding the town, new items available in stores, or new Town rank reached. Over time, the player will also get letters from their family, their old employer, and Farmers Guild. Townfolk will send the player items or cooking recipes as the player gets closer to them. The player might also receive recurring letters, for example for passing out after after 01:00.

Most of the letters the player has received can be found in the Journal menu (notes section).

Story and quest letters

The main quest Home Sweet Home begins with the following letter:

After you collect everything, head to the Carpenter store and create an order at the counter. Your house will be repaired on the same day!

A day before the Cherry Blossom Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

When player reaches town rank E, they will get the following letter:

I’ve been working on automation and quality-of-life devices! They will make things easier for you on the farm.

Here's a prototype of one: the Auto Fertilizer. This nifty gadget can be attached to your sprinklers, and when loaded with fertilizer, it'll automatically disperse it to the surrounding soil.

I can make the blueprint if you provide me with materials for R&D. This will allow you to craft it using basic materials. If you're interested, come by the lab to see some of the other devices I've prototyped as well.

When player reaches town rank D, they will get the following letter:

Farmer Player,

Exciting news! With the town now at rank D, we've got some more grants. That means more advanced quality-of-life devices to help you out!

Check this out: the "Auto Petter" and the "Sturdy Computer". The Auto Petter takes care of your animals, and the computer? It has online shopping!

I've got blueprints ready, but I'll need materials for R&D. Drop by the lab to see other gadgets that are now available to develop.

When player reaches town rank C, they will get the following letter:

With the town climbing up to rank C, our funding has seen a bump. That means even cooler quality-of-life gadgets for the farm are now on the table!

Let me introduce you to a couple: the "Auto Chest" and the "Ultimate Scarecrow". The auto chest automates your production and can even turn into a conveyor belt. The scarecrow? It covers a 19x19 field!

As usual, I’ve drafted up the blueprints, but I’ll need specific materials for R&D. Swing by the lab when you can.

After the player earns 10,000g in total, they will get the first letter from their family:

After player shipped 20 crops to shipping bin, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the first letter to player as follow:

Give these fertilizers a try. Apply them to tilled soil. They'll increase your chances of harvesting higher quality crops, which will in turn fetch you more coins when it's time to sell.

After player shipped 10 crops with bronze quality to shipping bin, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the second letter to player as follow:

It looks like you're ready for this. This here is a Basic sprinkler.

Place it in your field, and it'll water some of your crops for you. The best part? You can craft as many of these as you need, as long as you have the necessary materials.

How are you? I just wanted to check up on your well-being.

We heard that you're a farmer now. I hope things are going well with your farm and if you ever miss your old job, it's here.

During 2nd year of winter season, they will get the following letter:

Dear player,

It is imperative that you return to your position at HyperForce.

After looking through your contract, it is clearly stated that you must provide us with a certain amount of work that you have not completed to this date.

If you do not fulfill this condition, we will have no choice but to file a lawsuit against you and seek compensation for the damages incurred from your lapse in judgment.

However, we are willing to drop any sort of retaliation against you if you return to work within the week.

If the player faints at night at 01:00, Sunny sends them the following letter:

I found you pretty late, hope you weren’t staying up past midnight. Not good for ya. I had Yuri carry you home and make sure you’re okay. Your medical bill should be attached.

If the player faints because of exhaustion (running out of energy), Yuri sends them the following letter:

Player,

You passed out last night from exhaustion. Attached is your medical bill. Please don't overwork yourself. Remember to take a break and never miss a meal. I hope you feel better!
