Mail: Difference between revisions

Mail is one of the ways the player communicates with characters both present and not present in the game. Most mail is sent to the player's mailbox in the morning (with the exception of cooking recipes that may arrive on the same day the player reaches the required friendship level with the character who sends the recipe). The mailbox is located outside the farmhouse on the right and can be interacted with.

Some letters contain attached items. These items can be accepted into the player's inventory after they read the letter.

Types of letters

Some letters are sent to the player randomly, others are received at fixed points in time or during main or secondary quests. Some letters inform the player of news regarding the town, new items available in stores, or new Town rank reached. Over time, the player will also get letters from their family, their old employer, and Farmers Guild. Townfolk will send the player items or cooking recipes as the player gets closer to them. The player might also receive recurring letters, for example for passing out after after 01:00.

Most of the letters the player has received can be found in the Journal menu (notes section).

One-time letters

Story and quest letters

The main quest Home Sweet Home begins with the following letter:

Player!

To repair your house, we'll need you to gather some materials. Please collect 50 wood and 20 stone.

After you collect everything, head to the Carpenter store and create an order at the counter. Your house will be repaired on the same day!

The main quest Visit the Beach Shack begins with the following letter:

Hello Player,

Looking for a way to pass the time? Or maybe, you want to earn extra coins while waiting for your crops to grow?

When you have the time, please visit us at the Beach Shack. We have the perfect welcome gifts for you!

The main quest Into the Ocean begins with the following letter:

PSA :

The lab is now looking for a suitable diving candidate.

All applicants must conduct an on-site test for compatibility.

Visit the diving pier for more information.

The main quest Mythical Dream will be update with the following letter:

Hooman,

Afraid I was, when you summoned me.

But open the path she has, to my home.

This mean, hooman must come visit me.
Understand you will after meet, how to heal island.

The side quest Fishen Flower begins with the following letter:

Dear Player,

Fishensips needs a couple of fresh flowers. Would your farm be able to supply? If so, please have them delivered as soon as possible.

ps: Sam's doesn't have a good selection. Gah.

The side quest Bonfires begins with the following letter:

Dear Player,

I'm helping my sister-in-law, Erika, with a school project. As you know, she sometimes volunteers at and teaches the kids how to make bonfires next week. Will you come to garden lane tomorrow morning and help me cut some woods? It's the area near Millie's house.

P.S: I will bring sandwiches.

Stores and product announcements

After the cutscene announcement of Town Rank F occurs, they will get the following letter:

Greetings Player,

I'd like to run an idea by you about local produce. Meet me at the general store when you have the time.

Festival

A day before the Cherry Blossom Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Dear Player,

We're gathering at the lake tomorrow to celebrate the start of Spring. The festival is a cookout potluck, so make sure to bring something yummy!

Arrive between 09:00 and 14:00.

A day before the Tree Planting Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Player,

Tomorrow the town will be looking for volunteers to attend the Tree Planting Festival.

If you'd like to volunteer, pay us a visit between 08:00 and 14:00. We meet in the forest right behind your farm.

We'll start the Tree Planting Festival as soon as we gather enough volunteers. We could sure use the helping hand of a farmer like yourself!

A week before the Animal Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town,

The Animal Festival is coming up on Summer 12. Bring your pet for a fun race. If you have a chicken or cow, enter them in the competition! The event starts at 9 am in front of the community center.

A day before the Animal Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town Residents,

Don’t forget! The Animal Festival is tomorrow at 9 am in front of the community center. Make sure your animals are ready for some friendly competition.

A week before Harvest Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town,

The Harvest Festival is coming up on Fall 15 at 7 pm in Alun-Alun Square. Legendary farmer Jeff Smith will be the judge for the harvest display contest. To enter, bring your best products from each of the following six categories:

- Vegetables
- Fruits
- Flowers
- Coop products
- Barn products
- Artisan products

A day before the Harvest Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town Residents,

The Harvest Festival is tomorrow at 7 pm in Alun-Alun Square. Remember to bring your six best items for the harvest display contest.

A week after the Harvest Festival, if they did not attend, they will receive the following letter:

Hey there, buddy!

Guess what? You weren't at the Harvest Festival! But that's okay. Maybe competitions just aren't your thing.

You seemed a little shy when we first met, right? It's all good though, buddy. Daddy always used to say, "Courage is the first step to victory." Looks like you're still trying to find your shoes, huh?

Don't sweat it, though. If you're ever in Beluga Bay, drop by and check out my trophy. It's pretty cool.

A week after Harvest Festival, If they won at the festival, they will get the following letter:

Hey, buddy!

So you won this time, huh? Well, I guess everyone needs their day in the sun.

But don't get too cozy up there - you've just fired me up to push even harder. Daddy once told me, "Bobby, winning is temporary, but being a winner is forever." And believe me, next year, I'm reclaiming my victory.

Enjoy your moment, Player. Because next year, it's Bobby time!

A week after Harvest Festival, If Bobby won at the festival, they will get the following letter:

Hey, buddy!

Just wanted to take a quick breather from my victory dance to drop you this little note. Gotta admit, the view's pretty spectacular from the top!

You put in some effort, but, well, there's something about Beluga Bay. It's got that special magic.

A week after Harvest Festival, If they both tied at the festival, they will get the following letter:

Hey, buddy!

A draw? With you? I gotta be honest, I didn't see that coming. But, hey, even a broken clock is right twice a day, right?

I've already got big plans for next year and there's no room for sharing the spotlight.

So you better start your prep now, 'cause I'm certainly revving up my engine!

A day before the Spooky Day Festival begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town Residents,

Get ready for Spooky Day celebration starting tomorrow! Join us in town from 7 PM onwards for a host of games, a variety of costumes, and a captivating ogoh-ogoh parade!

A day before the New Year Feast begin, they will get the following letter:

Starlet Town Residents,

You are invited to the New Year’s Eve Feast tomorrow, Winter 28, at 7 pm at the Hillside Vineyard. It’s a time for the community to come together and enjoy games and fireworks, and for the lovebirds, romance under the mistletoe!

Letters from family

After the player earns 10,000g in total, they will get the first letter from their family:

To our Player,

How are you doing, sweetheart? I heard Coral Island is beautiful this time of year. Grandpa, Ashley and I miss you very much.

P.S: There is some money for you. It isn’t much but we hope it’s useful.

After the player earns 25,000g in total, they will get the second letter from their family:

To our Player,

It’s been a while since my last letter. How are you doing there, sweetheart? We miss you everyday. Ashley is giving me a hardtime lately, she refused her favorite food and are out most nights. Will take her to the vet soon. We made you some klepons, your favorite.

After the player earns 50,000g in total, they will get the third letter from their family:

To our Player,

How’s the farm, sweetheart? We saw some articles about Coral Island’s Cherry Blossom festival. The event looked beautiful. I think I might’ve spotted you in one of the photos!

P.S: Ashey is pregnant!

After the player earns 100,000g in total, they will get the fourth letter from their family:

To our Player,

It’s been a minute since I heard from you, sweetheart. We miss you so much. Your dad said you're doing well at the farm. It's great news, we're very proud. We baked you some cookies yesterday, hope it's still good.

P.S: The kittens and Ashley are all healthy. We ended up naming one of them Sandal because he refused to fall asleep without my sandal right next to him. Your grandpa and I are happy, busy grandparents again now.

After the player earns 250,000g in total, they will get the fifth and the last letter from their family:

To our Player,

Your parents sent us an article about you making a quarter of a million coins! We’re so happy you’ve found your community and thriving on Coral Island. We sent some extra money to add to the pile! The kittens are taking over our bedroom. We will let them sleep there with us. There is no winning with those cuties.

We’re beyond proud of you, Player.

Farmer's Guild

After player shipped 20 crops to shipping bin, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the first letter to player as follow:

Sprout,

I'm glad to hear that the rumors of a new farmer in Starlet Town are true. You've been doing excellent work in the fields.

Give these fertilizers a try. Apply them to tilled soil. They'll increase your chances of harvesting higher quality crops, which will in turn fetch you more coins when it's time to sell.

After player shipped 10 crops with bronze quality to shipping bin, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the second letter to player as follow:

Sprout,

It looks like you're ready for this. This here is a Basic sprinkler.

Place it in your field, and it'll water some of your crops for you. The best part? You can craft as many of these as you need, as long as you have the necessary materials.

After player shipped 100 crops to shipping bin, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the third letter to player as follow:

It seems like you're ready for this. This here is a Mayonnaise Machine. Just place any Egg into this here gizmo and it'll produce Mayonnaise. You'll have just made an artisan product.

Artisan products are made using Artisan machines, and fetch for a nice profit. Great gizmo's to have on your farm, ya hear!

After player reach farming mastery 8, the representative of Farmers Guild will send the last letter to player as follow:

Sprout,

You're now an advanced farmer. Great job, Sprout! My last gift to you is a blueprint for an aging barrel.

Place items into the aging barrel to produce aged artisan products. These yield the most profit, though they do require some time to mature.

After player reaches heart 4 with Anne, they will get the following letter:

If the player faints because of exhaustion (running out of energy), Yuri sends them the following letter:

You passed out last night from exhaustion. Attached is your medical bill. Please don't overwork yourself. Remember to take a break and never miss a meal. I hope you feel better!
