Marriage
Out of the 50+ characters living on the island, 28 characters' are romanceable. Though Ben, Charles, Millie, and Suki were not initially romance candidates, they were added to the original 16-character roster after Coral Islands Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign reached its US$750,000 stretch goal. In the 1.0 update it is now possible to romance 3 new characters, Miranjani, Semeru and Denali, all merfolk.
It is also possible to marry another player in multiplayer mode. Multiplayer is not confirmed to be cross-platform but is under consideration for later in development.

Dating
To start dating your favorite character, player must first increase friendship point and building relationship with that character.
Once you've reached level 8 of relationship, you'll receive a letter from Sanchez Brothers Blacksmith, telling you that to show your love interest you're wanting to get to know them romantically you must give them a locket necklace that is newly added into their catalog. The locket costs 1,500 
.
You can't give the locket to the person of your choice if you already gave them something that day, but it also doesn't count in the gifts/week count.
Marriage
In order to get married with someone, you need to have at least house level 3, and have reached level 10 relationship with that NPC.
After reaching level 10 of relationship, you'll be able to buy a diamond ring at the blacksmith's. The proposal ring costs 5,000 .
Once your betrothed receive the ring, they will announce your marriage date, 3 days from your proposal date. You will receive a reminder every end-of-day in form of wedding invitation. The morning of your wedding day, a cutscene will occur to get you to your marriage location. This location can be vary depends on who your spouse is.
There are 3 wedding locations : Beach, Town & Lake
After marriage, your spouse will move in to your house. Your spouse will also have a special room inside your farm house. The room also will vary depends on who you marry.
